Make sure you're all set to vote—here are a few tips before you head to the polls!

1. Register to vote by the October 7th deadline. Also, you can check that your voter registration is active through the Dallas County Elections Department.

2. Research your candidates and view your sample ballot. You cannot use your phone while voting, but you can print this out and bring it to the polls!

3. Find your closest polling location and check out location hours here.

4. Put on your best voting fit and pack a snack and water! Do not wear campaign t-shirts or clothing that indicates support for any candidate on the ballot, as that is not allowed at the polls.

5. Bring an acceptable form of identification. You can view the full list here.

6. Vote with confidence! Enter that polling booth knowing you are making a difference!

Your vote is your power! Be prepared and vote early to avoid the lines—your participation makes a difference!

Early Voting Period: October 21 - November 1

October 21-25: 8AM-5PM
October 26: Saturday 7AM-7PM
October 27: Sunday 12PM-6PM
October 28 - November 1: 7AM-PM

Election Day: November 5 - 7AM-7PM
